I tried to do a hard mod to my N3dsxl and when i went to test the system to see if it would turn back on, i accidentally put the battery backwards on the pins. Ever since the system wont turn on I get no blue light, and where the blue light is will get a breif faint flash of red if i try to turn it on while plugged in. Looking around forums this has happened to a few people and they indicate the daughter board is the culprit, but I am more wondering what on the daughter board could have failed?
Sounds like you have fried the voltage regulator, these components don’t like to be reversed, also these boards are multi layer and are very sensitive to heat and the components including the “reg” are all surface mount and near impossible to replace. Im sorry to say you may be up for a new board.
