My MacBook Air 2015 8GB has had this problem since I received it on eBay. My fan is running at a full 6500rpm constantly, regardless of load, and the systems performance is absolutely terrible. Minecraft running on absolute lowest possible settings on 720p is getting around 20-30fps with constant freezing every 3-5 seconds. I have reset SMC and power management system multiple times, so no avail on both problems. Any help would be appreciated!!
First a MacBook Air is not a gaming system. While it can play simple lightweight graphical games Minecraft is not that lightweight by default.
