You need a new logic board from the sounds of it 2.4GHz replacement Logic Board - Apple P/N 661-4834 and here’s the guide to put it in MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Late 2008 and Early 2009 Logic Board Replacement I think your eBay system is too much a gamble.
