Hello! I have the problem. I don’t know why but something touched me to reset PRAM. After this procedure the system does not start. There is a login window, the password is entered, the bar is loaded and at the end the crossed-out circle pops up. I also have a system on an external disk but in this system internal hard disk is not visible, perhaps because it was a fu**in encrypted: /// Is there any chance to recover the data? I care a lot about that. I would be very grateful for your help.

This model was notorious about getting the hard drive I/R cable damaged right where it climbs over the last ledge and onto the optical drive. I would replace it. I also use a think mounting tape placed on either side of the cable to prevent the bottom from touching it. For a while even Apple was replacing it for free it was so prevalent. If the drive has failed, replace with a SSHD for a fine speed bump at small cost.
