I have replaced the lightning connector , the battery and LCD display. I also moved the “home button” over from the old display to the new one. Now the home button does not work and the new display works but the only thing it shows is the “apple” icon and then turns off for a few seconds then turns back on ……..it appears to cycle. What did I do wrong?
It’s hard to identify the issue without seeing the device in person, although I’d advise double checking everything around the charging port and battery for any damage or metal contact points as it may be boot looping due to electrical issue. If all appears well, try connecting the old screen to see if it stops the boot loop, in which case the new screen is the issue. If not, you can try the old battery in the device to see if the new battery is the problem, or if there may be something wrong with the replacement charging port (faulty piece or incorrect installation). If you have tried all you can think of perhaps take the device into a local repair shop for a diagnostic. They’ll definitely be able to tell you what’s wrong and the easiest way to fix it.
