Hey! I just recently bought a PS4 with a broken Blu-ray Drive. The PS4 is a CUH-1115A and the Blu-ray Drive is a BDP-025 and I just have a couple of questions. If the new Blu-ray Drive I order also have a daughterboard that is BDP-025, do I still need to replace it with the original daughterboard or no? Second, I’ve read that the BDP-020 daughterboard is compatible with the BDP-025 and vice-versa, can anyone confirm this? Thanks!
Yes, replace it with a genuine Sony board of the same model. Don’t replace it with any unapproved board, because that might end up disastrous. Different models have different circuits, so replacing it with the same model board is a must. Good luck on your project.
