Hit a large rock with pull behind Trail mower (Not a PTO) and rock became pinned between blade and deck housing. The blades now will not disengage using the blade engagement lever (it’s essentially not required — blades always on). Spoke with Customer support and they think my drive belt is too tight and essentially is overly tight on the pulley so the engagement lever is needed for the added friction on the drive belt to engage the long / blade belt. This wasn’t the case before i hit the rock. The only way i can imagine this to have happened is if I bent either the drive pulley or the double pulley. Any other ideas?

Hi, Don’t know but here’s the service manual that may help especially if a replacement part is required.
