Hello, I have a 2006 MacBook 1.83 processor with 4gb ram and sshd which is not powerful enough for the software I’m using. I’ve picked up a bargain 2007 2.2 processor which I would like to swap the Drive and ram over into. Is it as simple as swapping or will I need to reformat the Drive an reinstall the OS X? Cheers
Sugru might be your answer. https://sugru.com/ It’s like bluetack but it sets in place, you may be able to wrap it round the damaged area and should be ok with that, you could also cover it in electrical tape. Not sure how permanent these solutions would be but worth a shot for minimal cost.
