I’m looking to replace two butterfly clips (hinges) on my MacBook Pro Retina Touch Bar 2019 (for the B-key and return-key). Unfortunately replacement hinges for this keyboard is extremely scarce at this moment. Does anyone know if I can use a 2nd or 3rd generation key clip? I believe the only change between 3rd and 4th generation is simply the material used and between 2nd and 3rd only a silicone membrane was added.
Why are you fighting this? You do realize Apple has an extended warranty program for all butterfly keyboard issues: Keyboard Service Program for MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro Just get your self to an Apple Store and be done with it!
