Hi! I recently bought the Ariete PartyTime cotton candy machine. We read how it worked, we looked on youtube, we havent gotten it to work, the problem, is. When we pour sugar in, like, after waiting 20 minutes after letting it heat up, we pour sugar in, and the sugar spills out to the sides, and it becomes pink liquid stuff at the side. and the device starts smoking. No cotton candy is produced, we used it outdoors. indoors. we turned it off while it was hot, waiting for the spinner to stop. we used it while it spun. we slowed down the speed and poured it in. but it all gives the same result. It smells like cotton candy. but no cotton is produced what so ever. I have no idea what to do, i have tried everything, stopping it, pouring while it spins, letting it melt inside the extractor before i turn it on, same result. all the time. I would love it if you guys could help me! :D
ok what kind of sugar are u using? have u cleaned it at all after letting the sugar melt? Cuz u could be growing sugar crystals in it preventing it from forming, it accidently caught fire so your luck i had this happen to me at Woodhall when i work at food concession stands selling cotton candy. We were using the wrong kind of sugar, then we had to clean it 100% and then let dry for like 2 or 3 days and try again after getting the right kind of sugar and quick hands lol Tho I have had someone mess with the heating element, and we had to send it back to manufactures sorry if this was not helpful
