Chosen Solution
I have a Stylus Tough 6000, it was working great until one day it just would not power on. I tried charging the battery and the light on charges changes to green but the camera will not turn on. I checked the battery with an ohm meter and it says it’s charged. I even tried connecting the camera to my laptop via the USB cable and nothing, the laptop will not even recognize it, but I assume that’s because it will not turn on. Someone told me that perhaps it’s the motherboard? Any ideas?
The battery may be upside down or backwards. Check where the contact points are before you insert the battery.
