someone help me. I can’t access any nearby apple stores for a while. I have an iPhone 5s that i bought used from a friend, the home button does not work and the power button slowly stopped working except on certain angles. My phone died and when I charged it, it got stuck on the Apple Logo, and I cant turn it into DFU mode , I tried downloading 3rd party apps to make it DFU but none of them recognize my iphone. Itunes recognized it at first but I may have clicked no to a warning at first, i forget what it read, but it doesnt work on ANY of my computers with ANY of the cords. HELP!!! I NEED THE PHONE!!! It’s stuck in the apple sign and nothing recognizes it… Also I doubt apple would give me a replacement because the home button has been broken internally. :/
Hi Derek Can you replace the home button? If you do replace it you can restore your iphone and it is going to work just fine. After replacing the home button, plug cable to your computer hold the home button and plug the cable to the phone. Hold the home button until you see the iTunes logo saying connect to iTunes then iTunes will ask you to restore the phone and after the restore is done you can start using your phone. Good luck
Smart devices are still new to me. Have you tried removing the battery while the device is on? Also there should be a procedure to reboot at a default level. I don’t remember the correct terminology. You obviously can access the internet…so search on line for the factory-default-reboot or root-boot, something. It involves depressing more than just the power button at initial power-up. Hope this directs you towards a solution and not the pollution. QUIT DRINKING FROM PLASTIC BOTTLES…water, pop, juice….It is killing you and our planet. Well if it kills our planet then it is safe to presume, (well unsafe) that humans will be dead before earth is.
