Yesterday my iMac just froze, nonreaction to input what so ever. It ran on the ltest version of macOS 10.11. Restarting boots half way through, then restarts. After 2 tries, the sound gets dimmer. Holding SHIFT fills the bar to the end, then freezes. Holding CMD ALT P R doesn‘t change anything. Both systems (Win and macOS) aren‘t able to boot. CMD V crashes. So does CMD SHIFT V. D doesn‘t give any errors. CMD ALT R gives an error message (-1007F) CMD ALT SHIFT R goes through a loading bar, then freezes afterwards if the spinning icon shows up. I have 4 RAM bars installed (2 Apple, 2 I added myself) tried only Apple and only the new ones, still the loop. So here I am. Please help.

Do you have access to a second Mac? If you do using it create a bootable OS installer following this guide: How to create a bootable macOS Sierra installer drive then use it to start your system by pressing and holding the Option key during the boot up. That will allow you to gain access tot he Startup Disk Manager. The alternative method is to setup your system in Target Disk Mode and connecting your other system to it. Reference: Mac startup key combinations Once you get the system to boot up off of the other drive you can then run Disk Utility First-Aid to fix any issues in your drive. If that fails you’ll need to re-install your OS. But before you do you’ll want to make a full backup of your stuff. As you may end up needing to scrub the drive down and do a full install after reformatting your drive.
