I’ve tried resetting the PRAM, going in safe mode, and booting to flash drive Mac OS installer to get access to terminal, disk utility but laptop always boots to the reset password screen. I did do options 2 & 3 in the password reset menu. It indicated reboot computer and normal login should work but it doesn’t. Laptop works on external monitor only since laptop display is damaged and needs a replacement assembly part. This might have to go to an Apple Store. I have no way to disable the auto boot feature.
