phone sat over a year just changed the screen and the device is stuck in a boot loop until the phone dies will not accept system restore and turns itself on after hard power off (holding power and vol down) but once i plug into itunes it recognizes it but wont connect plz help
This was the work of Apple, it would need to be updated to a newer iOS version. My recommendation is if your old screen is still working, put it back on, update the phone, then attempt the repair. Apple made it so that 3rd party screens could be detected, and the phone would brick. This was a countermeasure against independent repair. Apple was sued for this, and had to allow for 3rd party screens to be used. Once the old screen is attached, if it is still in a boot loop, you should be able to enter it into recovery mode, and restore it, which in the process will update it. Then you should have no issues with the screen repair.
