Hi! I bough the kit and followed all instructions on changing it. After that i had some weird symptoms, ill list dem below: Battery icon is gone (and yes i ticked the box show in menu bar)When i switch on the computer and se the log-on screen i see the battery, but it has a “X” over it.If i disconnect the cord, the computer dies complement. Ouch! You have lost the your SMC data line from the battery to the logic board. I think it would be best to find a local mac tech who can help you as it could be either a bad battery or the logic on the logic board is bad.
