Hi I have a strange problem with the power button. Not responding when I want to turn on the macbook. With the system running, it works and allows you to go into sleep mode, but you can’t come back from it. The only thing that helps then is removing the battery and inserting magsafe (which starts the macbook). Macbook has never been flooded.
A long beep was a firmware update which is now quite common when you do OS updates/upgrades. So thats not an issue just leave the system alone so you don’t corrupt it by turning the system off! I still think we need the CoconutBattery data! Please post it as it will help me figure this out. Sometimes I feel like a doctor! ;-} Where the patent just doesn’t want to get well, refusing to work with you to get to the problem. Please, let me help you!
