Dear Ifixit Experts, can someone tell me what this may be?
This image was taken on Feb 17.
This one is today, March 3. An orange dot is now visible that was not there before. The pictures don’t really do justice but it looks like a shadow of a coiled wire that starts at about 1 inch from the bottom left border corner. Should I be worried?
Clearly something came undone! Your options here are a bit of a toss-up. Leaving it alone in my mind is a visual distraction. Opening the system up to get to the area is a bit of work Apple Thunderbolt Display LCD Replacement and then you still need to take the display assembly apart to get to the backlight bar which is the area in question. The last option is replacing the display assembly which is costly.
