Un65mu6500 stopped working after loud pop. Can it be fixed?
@koreyws It all depends what has popped but most likely that answer is yes, it can be repair. I suspect that this originated somewhere on the power supply. Possibly a capacitor but I have seen the rectifier failing as well. Pull the power plug on your TV and remove the back cover. Without touching anything (yet) visually inspect the boards for anything that looks odd (burned, charred or missing components) then take a couple of really good pictures of the boards and the damaged components (if wound) and post those with your QUESTION.
