My Macbook air (2017) had a problem with the backlight and it looked like the flexgate stagelicht problem but only for one half of the screen.
I was planning to send it back to were I bought it one year ago but after 3 days the problem just disappeared. If I would send my macbook they will just say everything is fine and send it back to me but I am afraid it might happen again in the future. Did anyone have the same problem? Is this a flexgate issue? What do you think I should do?
I’m suspecting you tend to spray your display with a cleaner then wipe it. So what happens is the cleaner drips down to the bottom edge and seeps under the bezel wetting the backlight circuitry just behind it. At this point if things are working I would leave it alone!
