Hi, I’ve heard a squeak in my direct drive, front load washer. I took it all apart thinking it would be the bearing. When I got the back opened up and took off the motor rotor, I noticed that’s when the squeak stops. I checked out the bearing as best I could and it seems fine. There’s no rust, nothing seems to be leaking. I can turn the entire drum by hand, with ease when I turn the drum shaft after removing the rotor. There’s no grinding in the bearing of squeaking when I turn it. The only squeak is when the rotor is one. Any ideas what the root of the problem may be?
Maybe the rotor is rubbing on something or the bearing and rotor need to be cleaned real well and then greased.
