I’m trying to split my Fusion Drive and I’ve tried the disk utility coreStorage logical volume groups list and the APFS list, neither find anything… see attached pictures. I do see disk1s2 over in Disk Utility… is that helpful to me??
I’ll be honest with you I haven’t played that much with Big Sur. And I don’t use Fusion Drives so my skills here are limited. Just working on the very small snippet of Disk Utility is all I have here to work with. Getting a full screen of each drive and its containers would have helped. Before you do anything make sure you have a current backup just in case! I do believe all you need to do is reformat the Apple SSD (cache drive) to break it. The Macintosh HD object within it is the Fusion Drive cache . Apple still has not documented Fusion Drives very well. Hoakley has done by far the best job of documenting things!
