I was eating soup near my keyboard and it split just a small amount, roughly the amount of water that a water bottle cap can hold. All of the sudden the computer can’t register the keystrokes. I restarted my computer and I cleaned the water out of my keyboard by taking out the space key and it works fine, I tried to but back my space key back in, it was really hard and all of the sudden my keyboard spam random keys. I unplugged the power and tried to take off the back to no avail, put the screws back in and the power, but nothing works. The lights worked before I took unplugged the power and it no longer works. Essentially it broke. This keyboard is really special to me as it was a gift and I really hope that there is someway to fix this mess. Please help…
Sounds like the board needs to be cleaned up. Liquid will definitely take a toll on any electronic device. You can always follow the advice from this I spilled water on keyboard and I need help. You can also go hardcore and disassemblethe keyboard and clean all the corrosion you find. Just ensure you use >91% isopropyl alcohol. Anything else with more water content will just not work. Good luck
