Chosen Solution

Hello, Ok here is what happened:

  1. I spilled beer on my laptop about a month ago. Finally get it dried out and was able to get it back ( kind of)
  2. The keyboard is definitely shot and needs to be replaced.
  3. In the meantime I was able to hook up a USB keyboard and everything is working normally. But… The fan keeps running and running and running. I just need to get the fan to stop. Not sure what the best way to get it too cool down and stop spinning. I know the keyboard needs to be replaced but my immediate concern is getting it too cool. Any help would be great. Thank you

It seems like a sensor failure on the motherboard. I would clean the motherboard and run ASD (apple support diagnostic) to pinpoint the specific failed sensor.
