Hello, my dads laptop’s speakers have suddenly stopped working, windows doesn’t detect them, however when I go into the bios I hear a beep, so I don’t think it’s a hardware issue, but it may be some other speaker?
Let’s start with reinstalling the driver. Go here, then click on the dropdown for Winsows 8 and click “VIEW ALL FILES(2)”. Click the download button next to Conexant Audio Software, and once the driver is finished downloading, run through the installer to install the drivers. If the installer prompts to restart your computer, click “Restart Now”.
