Basically the question. My TV(old Haier LET22T3W) speakers’ sound works perfectly for about 15 minutes then starts crackling for 10 seconds then the sound is off. If I shut the TV down sound comes back for seconds then crackles then it’s off again. Headphones work perfectly though all the time. I’ve seen a similar question but the answer to that one did not work. I looked up the connector connected to the motherboard and it seemed clean enough but it could still be the problem. I didn’t touch the speakers’ end of those wires because they seemed really fragile and are all wrapped in some weird browny plastic. Can anyone help! Thanks in advance !!!

Hi @bi9a, If possible try by- passing the speaker wiring between the board and the speakers i.e. disconnect the wiring at both ends and temporarily replace it with new wiring. Be sure that you wire it correctly. Maybe check each wire end to end with an Ohmmeter to see where it connects to at each end. If the sound is OK and stays that way the problem was the original wiring or connector perhaps. If it is still noisy then you have to isolate whether it is the board or the speakers. You may have to connect a different compatible i.e. same impedance, known working speaker temporarily directly to the board and check the sound. (Impedance = AC resistance, so check for the value in Ohms (Ω) that is usually printed on the speaker coil e.g. could be 4Ω or 8Ω perhaps). If the sound is now OK then the problem was with the original speaker. If the sound is still noisy then it is the board and further testing of the board would be required. Just what I’d do.
