Chosen Solution
My speaker is fully charged, the name shows up in my iPhone, and it says it’s connected. But when I go to play music or videos, the sound comes out of my iPhone. I checked ‘devices available’ on my Spotify app and the UE boom doesn’t show up. I’m not sure what to do??
If your UE Boom 2 portable speaker has stopped producing any kind of sound, see the UE Boom 2 Is Not Producing Sound problem page for possible causes and solutions. If you pull up at the bottom of your iPhone and swipe to the left there should be a “Now playing on (your device)” make sure that’s switched over to the speaker. If that doesn’t work try pushing the play/pause button if the speaker while it’s connected to the iPhone this has happened to work on multiple cases with Bluetooth speakers/headphones. If all else fails go into settings and forget the device then restart both your phone and speaker. Reset the speaker by holding the minus button and power on for approx. 10 seconds.
I turned my phone off then back on and it started working.
Close the Boom and respective music App by double pressing the round button on screen and flick the apps to close them. Restart both apps (boom app and e.g. Spotify). This fixed it for me.
The same thing happened to me and I figured out how to fix it. You need to mess around with it for 10 minutes until you get frustrated. Then punch your dashboard. Try messing around with it again and it should work.
I performed a factory reset on my boAt airdopes 441 and then connected it. It worked
Sadly, this device does not work with iTunes and Windows 10 :(. Needless to say, I’ll be returning this unit.
I had this problem. My iPhone 13 connected to the Bluetooth device (ie: to speaker) but I couldn’t find the speaker option when playing Spotify, YouTube, Music, etc. It works now. Here’s what I did: I connected to the Bluetooth device, in the device list I tapped the ‘i’ incon next to the device and selected ‘speaker’ (options were Car Stereo, Headphones, Hearing Aid, Speaker, Other). Then I unplugged the Bluetooth and restarted my phone, reconnected to the device, and now the speaker option is found in Spotify, etc. Maybe it’ll work for you?
had this problem on android, turned phone off and on,re paired speaker with phone, fixed it and haven’t had issue since
I had this problem with my new IPhone. I turned off both the Bluetooth speaker and IPhone then turned both back on after 2 minutes and it worked 1st time when I reconnected the phone to the speaker
