Chosen Solution
I have recessed lights in the basement. There is a finished ceiling, not dropdown. Problem is there is a space between the box of the light and the inside of the ceiling. We are having a problem with spiders. At night they come down from that space, we know because we have spider webs on the ceiling and one night my son slept down there and woke up with bites. I bought caulk (fire barrier type) to try to fill the spaces, but the spaces are too wide. Can anyone tell me a way to solve this problem. I do not have the money to have them all replaced. Please let me know.
