Chosen Solution

the television source keeps changing from HDMI to any of the other sources. Can you advise is this a problem with the tv and can it be resolved Update (09/17/2016) its a 32inch bush and the source should be set at hdmi1 but while watching the tv the source box opens and randomly changes to any of the other sources and so there is then no signal but will not remain on hdmi1 box

SOLVED YAY!! I’m actually not one for things like this but in this case other people’s opinions/guidance has helped me so hopefully l can help someone else! I will also try to keep it brief lol. Ok bush tv lt42m1cfa well over 10 yrs old no probs. All of a sudden the source menu keeps flashing up and randomly changing inputs making it impossible to even watch TV. Based on posts l read a home fix was to remove the circuit board that fed the source button but this also feeds the main menu on/off and volume buttons. Anyway, this I did and hey presto all is good (incidentally the tv remote had been lost in a house move a couple of years earlier so I only ever used a sky remote). So thank you to whoever’s post that was, saved me hundreds!! HOWEVER….. 3 weeks later l forget the tv (whilst nattering on the phone) and it goes into standby aaargghhh. No remote and no connections inside the the tv….. only a remote can take it out of standby……! Until l remember the peel remote app on my s5 and the rest is history!!! If l can do this anyone can I’m a female over the age of 50!!!

Janet Have the same issue exactly, no remote, usually I can use the side buttons to change input. Just like you every time I put it on it would jump from HDMI ’x ’ back to the “no input signal” screen (I don’t use a TV aerial). I stream via a Chromecast which works fine on other TV, my problem TV 8/9 yes old won’t stay on hdmi. Only goes back to the onboard TV tuner. It’s shouldn’t matter how its recieves a signal it jumps to the tuning option within a minute I was considering unplugging the buttons, as you were advised, but was awaiting a reply here, I’ve managed to get a set of buttons from another TV, I’d planned trying to get them to cross wire to allow for Input selection that stays as set. If it doesn’t then its probably the end of the road for old faithful. I can’t even use it as a monitor as that needs HDMI from my equipment, my computer doesn’t have a VGA socket. Your reply has heartened me to do the same, 9nly with an attempt at bridging in the re-con button
