my TV is on with a sound but the screen is black and if you go closer to it you can see the pictures but in black and white

Hi, The most common issue with a black screen on modern TV’s is that there is a short on the backlight circuit, if you open the tv, carefully and access the backlight circuit, you can check the individual LED strips with an external power supply. When you find the line that does not work, you need to test each LED, one faulty chip is all that is required to stop the backlight from working. You can remove the faulty LED and short out the connections, this would normally resolve the backlight issue. regards Andy
