I have been fitting new volume / power button flex’s. They seem to work fine when tested without fitting properly. When fitting battery into place and testing again they have stopped working. Why is this? I bought good quality replacements. Does it need to be shielded? I’m confused. Can anyone help? Many thanks
I recommend taking a look at this guide / video by Witrigs on how to replace the side buttons: Sony Xperia XZ Premium Side Button Replacement From experience these side ribbon cables are put into place where the side buttons are then a plastic piece goes behind them that slides in to fit them in place.
