My Sony Walkman WM-F2015 has this strange problem where it will start out playing at a normal speed and gradually slow down the longer it plays the tape. Things I have tried to fix this: Change the belt Change the batteries Adjust the potentiometer I’m running out of ideas. What should I do next?
My experience of mending about 50 Walkmans, it needs oil on the drive shafts. Un-lubricated they warm up and start to stick. A tiny smear of very fine oil on all the spindles you can reach should sort you out. Be careful not to put too much on or get it where the tape touches.
