Hey everyone! I have a problem with a mid-80s sony walkman (Sony WM-31), as the wheels don’t spin when I press play. The belts seem fine and the cylinders spin when I manually move the cylinders the belts are attached to. What’s the problem here? Could it still be the belts, i.e. they’re too loose maybe?
@yaboyenrico you are not telling us if the motor actually spins. Start with that, then the belt. Here is the SM for your Walkman which should help you out in getting it repaired. Sony WM-41 SM
