My tv was working perfectly fine the night before and went out this morning. I pulled it apart and found that some wires looked to be burnt on the power board. Is this a problem from just the power supply or coming from somewhere else? Thanks (Sony XBR-65750D)
Hi @jjordan713 , Did you check that the fuse F6101 on the power board is OK? If it is check what voltages are being supplied by the power board with just the power connected to the TV. There is a list of voltages written on the board (I think) near the top connector indicating what voltage should be on what pin of the connector. Hopefully one of them says St_By as this is the Standby voltage that tells the mainboard to turn on the Power status light on the TV. Usually it is 5VDC but some TVs can be 3.3V
@jjordan713 It could be an issue but most likely it’s not. Follow the advice given by @jayeff and let us know what you find out about the voltages coming of your power board. The transformer would most likely not be the culprit just a damaged components. Sometimes, you can see burn marks on the bottom side of the boards if it overheats because of a short circuit. So take a look at that as well. Ultimately since you have a completely dead set this sounds like a power board issue for sure.
