Chosen Solution
Right after the latest firmware upgrade from Sony (4.55?) my CECHK01 cannot connect to the internet. I have reset the device back to the factory setting several times, used different ethernet cables, connected directly to the FiOS router. It gives me error codes such as 8001000B and 8001000A. Any ideas how to repair? Is it a hardware issue?
Go over the instructions at this link carefully http://manuals.playstation.net/document/… If the connection still fails after following these instructions, follow the on-screen instructions to check your settings. If it still does not work then your router might be blocking your ps3 from connecting
- Locate the PS3 MAC address number: Settings - System Settings - System Information
- Follow your routers steps to add a MAC Address to the whitelist/Disable the MAC Address whitelist
I had this problem too.,but when I did a factory reset,I tried it again.If your not still satisfied you can send me a mail and I will be glad to reply to you .If any mail is sent to me and it will be replied as soon as possible .
