Hi All, Suddenly my sony bravia LED TV is just displaying vertical lines and nothing else. The sound is fine. I opened it up as per other suggestions on Youtube and all the circuit looks fine. I checked the ribbon connector and voltage to TV and everything looks fine. Please let me know what might be the issue. As per online search, they mention tcon board or lcd panel. I don’t know what is causing this. Any help is appreciated. Regards, Kamal
Hi @kamal444 , Here’s the video distortion troubleshooting flowchart taken from the service manual for the TV. Following the flowchart will help to determine whether the problem is in the tcon board or the mainboard.
I had the same issue which suddenly started on my 50 inch sony bravia smart tv. Then I found this excellent video and followed the steps. The issue gone and the tv started working again.
