Chosen Solution
I replaced the screen a couple months ago. The screen works fine but every now and then the touch doesn’t respond to touch and I have to reboot the phone for it to start working. It happens every couple days.
It’s a defective screen, and if the ribbon cable for the screen is not held in place with some sticky / scotch tape this issue can occur.
