Chosen Solution
Recently replaced ipad air 2 lcd+digitizer using parts from repair parts plus. Screen works, but for some reason I cannot seat the screen completely into the bezel at the bottom of the ipad. From what I can tell is that the touch id chip is being squeezed between the new screen and the logic board. Anyone have a similar problem. I am using the old home button, as it still works fine, but am wondering if maybe a replacement home button, lacking the touch id feature might be slimmer and allow me to close this thing up without bending the screen?
I’ve not had this happen due to weird issues. I did however have a problem seating my brother’s replacement due to his iPad being dented. If you you post pictures of it in detail,I’d be glad to try to help you. the home button should not effect it at all really. Pictures would help!
