Chosen Solution
After doing an update on my laptop when i sign in to my account it says preparing windows for about a minute, but after i finally sign in my wallpaper suddenly changes to the the defult wallpaper, and i can find any of my downloads or any thing almost like its a new account, even though i can still see my wallpaper just before i sign in. Does anyone know how to fix this
There is a possibility Windows has sent you to a default acct! Try logging in again but make sure you’re connected to the internet. About your data, if you go into file explorer and into you C: drive (or whatever letter is assigned), you should find a folder called “windows.old” This is where data should be kept.
