Chosen Solution

Hello, I have an odd problem with my Gorenje electric oven. It has 11 programs but for some reason 2 of the programs stopped working recently. The 2 programs that stopped working are the pizza program and the hot air program. The problem is that I’ve been using mainly those 2 programs, about 9 out of 10 times I would choose one of those 2 programs. And by stopped working I mean that the oven does heat up but not nearly enough to bake anything. I tried replacing the selector switch but it did not solve the issue. Does anyone know what might be causing the problem? I find it quite odd that only 2 of the programs would stop working while the other 9 programs work seemingly without issues and the gas stove on the top works without any problems as well. Thanks for any tips in advance.

Hi @joe999 , It was interesting trying to figure out the only user manual that I could find for the oven. ;-) I can only think that there is a problem with the program control unit, that even though you are entering the correct settings they are not working correctly. A lot of electronic program controls have embedded software that depending on what has been inputted determines what needs to be operated etc as controlled by the program. Something may have gone wrong inside the unit. This is only a guess but otherwise the oven is straightforward. The oven components all work because there is no problem with the other programs so all that is left is what controls the programs. Sorry I can’t think of anything else that would affect what is happening. Update (01/28/2020) Hi @joe999 , It was the program control unit as shown in the user manual Here’s an image of what I thought I was talking about.

(click on image to enlarge for better viewing). My understanding, maybe incorrectly as I was using Google translate, was that the you selected the appropriate oven cycle by using the control unit. Your image doesn’t seem to fit what I thought is the control unit.
