Hi I ve got the keys 7, u, j, m not working on my MacBook Air 13 keyboard. I have tried to change the keyboard but I still have the same problem. I have changed the trackpad flex cable but still the same. I did reset SMC, PRAM…with no luck, I also did check in accessibility that I don t have enabled mousse keys. I don t know what s wrong, could it be caused by a swollen battery ? How can I check it and be sure it s the cause without buying a new battery ?
This is usually caused by a small liquid spill shorting out a section of your keyboard. Here’s how to replace the keyboard (your other alternative is to replace the upper case). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yt8xZIDt… Here’s the part: https://www.newegg.com/p/0GA-02XE-00017?… UPPER CASE MacBook Air 13" Mid 2013 Upper Case Replacement
