Hello, I refurbished an old iPhone 6 Plus today and the phone is working properly now. Unfortunately, the assembly back together is giving me issues. I replaced the home button and the new home button works, but the button cannot be physically pressed when fully assembled. It feels stuck. I can slightly loosen the two screws to allow it to work, but I don’t think it was like that before. I’ve reseated the home button a few times with no success.

Secondly, the phone does not sit flush when fully assembled again. It sticks out towards the bottom of the phone. It almost certainly has to do with the home button assembly. I have also replaced the battery, however, the issue persists with or without the battery installed. I’m not sure where to go from here. Any help is appreciated.

Hi @jaysf This issue usually comes up when the rubber gasket around the home button has moved or crimped. The screen won’t sit flush if the screws on the home button cover plate are not screwed in tight. Try taking off the button and align the rubber around the button as flush as you can get it. If it is damaged, get a new one. Hope it helps!

Look at the top locks of LCD/Display are they fit to the cover house those Locks are the problems for your issue make sure they are not coming up when aligning your
