ariel, your assumption could be right, but first you want to check a few things. Try a different cable and try a different computer or AC adapter. If that still does not work, replace the battery. Use this guide for the repair. Should a new battery still not work, then you are looking at a logic board repair. The connector is solder directly to the board. It will require some good tools and great skills to change that. Hope this helps, good luck
