I have an Xperia Z3 to repair but it looks odd to me. The signal flex cable was damaged and I have sourced a replacement but both the new and old cables seem to have female connector ends. This would be ok but the two board connector sockets would then need to be male and only one is. Am I missing something here or is the a missing adaptor of sorts? Thanks Brian
Hi Don’t know if this is a help or not but here is a link to a video showing the complete re assembly of a Xperia Z3. At 4:40 minutes onwards into the video there is a clear view of the signal cable connector on the boards at both ends. To me it appears that both are male connectors, as you can see what looks like a centre pin in both the connector plugs on the boards.
