Hi Mike. Before heating u the NAND, you need to scrape away as much underfill as possible. Set your hot air station to 180-220C and use a very thin blade to gently scrape the surrounding underfill. You won’t remove it all but you need to get as much as possible. There are also no some really thin tools specifically for this purpose. Once done, apply heat to your NAND as usual and you should pull less adjacent components.
