Hello, I have my Macbook now for about 2 years and yesterday after starting it up i saw a big orange dot on the bottom right corner. If the background-image is white (e.g. i open i new window of safari) it shows the orange dot and if i open a black image the dot is white. So i think it has something to do with a wrong background lighting. Another thing i realized is that on startup the point is really faint and after a few hours the spot get mor visible and extends over the whole bottom side of the screen. The issue does not occur on a external monitor. This evening I will try to upload an image. Do you think I will have to replace the lcd or is there something else I can try? Thank you.
This is only the Lcd fault not the lvds cable. if the screen gives you the lines temporarily ( by sliding the whole panel up and down ) then it will be a problem of LVDS cable. otherwise just the screen .
I suspect a broken screen and/or LVDS cable.
