Chosen Solution
So, I recently broke my XR digitizer, so I bought one from eBay (probably wrong place to get one) but my buddy has had great success with this particular seller, so I bought one, touch doesn’t work, after 3 replacements with no touch, I bought one from that was taken off an XR, so it was oem, same issue. I took the one off my wife’s XR, and it worked perfectly, any ideas? Hopefully I’m not the only one with this issue! Also ive done everything from reseating the connectors, hard resetting the phone, factory restoring, updating it to latest iOS!
@evillord0011 this “I took the one off my wife’s XR, and it worked perfectly” actually answers your question. Since it does work with a OEM screen the issue is most likely bad replacements. Anything else, like a bad connector etc., would have also affected the screen from your wife’s phone. It looks like you have to bite the bullet and get Apple to get your phone a new screen.
