Solved Xfinity Remote Won T Turn On Yamaha Receiver Home Audio Receiver

I installed a Yamaha RX-V385 receiver, and paired the Xfinity X-15 remote to it. The only thing controlled is the volume. Why won’t it turn the receiver on?

I contacted Xfinity, and worked through the fix from their side. I hadn’t followed their program process far enough. By using another available code, I was able to accomplish my goal.

Sounds like the programming code you used is not complete for your receiver. You may want to get a remote decoder Generic Universal Tv Ir Remote Control Decoder Tester Infrared Remote Control Testing Then manually create your own remote controller program for your Xfinity remote. That is if you can program it manually, I haven’t done the X-15 remote so I’m not sure if that’s an option.
