Storm with power flickering on and off caused the TV to cycle on and off every 20-30 seconds until it was unplugged. If I plugged it back in, it would immediately go back to cycling on and off every 20-30 seconds. I did a factory reset and it fixed it for the rest of that day. The next day it would not turn on at all. Not even the LED at the bottom. I thought it was the power board so I replaced it, nothing changed. Then I replaced the main board and it turned on with the LED flashing green and goes into a standby mode or screen saver because it plays background music. I beleive the flashing green LED means I need to update the software but I can’t see the menu on the screen to get the update. Then I replaced the T-CON board with no change. I did the flashlight test and there is nothing on the screen. I’m thinking now it could be the LED backlights. Is there a way to test if the LED lights are working before I take the screen off? Any other ideas that might be causing this problem. The TV is only 2 years old so I think it is worth repairing. If it is unrepairable, I would like to stop buying parts! Thank you! Jeff
Hi, Did you try manually updating the firmware using a USB flashdrive? Make sure that your model is in the Applicable models list, because installing the wrong firmware can brick a TV.
