Hi there, Recently there was a power flicker and I had my Xbox plugged into a surge protector. Naturally though when the power flickered everything shut off, I tried turning it back on. No luck, but I thought ok, not to worry I will power cycle it. So I unplugged everything and waited about 30 seconds. Didn’t work, so I tried again and waited longer. But still nothing, is my Xbox toast? If so what is broken in it, and is there anyway I can fix it myself without buying a new one? Also my warranty is past 1 year so I would have to go buy one. Any input would be great! Thanks
I would first try replacing the power supply (power brick), or just borrow one from someone to test. If there was damage to anything it would most likely be there since it’s the closest to the surge protector. Hopefully it’s there and not something in your console. Also, I’m assuming that you’ve tried a different outlet…if not I would definitely try that first.
